NetStorage open OVM-H to the Microsoft world
Finally NetStorage enhance OVM-H with a new module for Windows servers.
With Revision 1.3.3 of OVM-H has been released a new module for Windows server in order to permit the fully automated migration of Windows file to OVM-H back end. The new module known with the name OVM-H-W is able to control the occupation threshold of the windows server disks, maintaining their state of occupation as per user set.
The migration is performed via a dedicated protocol designed to optimize the performances and to preserve data privacy over the network. It is never necessary share the windows disk as a network resource. From the user point of view the access transparency is absolute. Using the technology of the sparse file. All files even if migrated appears on line.
Using this module we may reach the following benefits:
- It is never necessary increase the Windows server disc capacity
- It is never necessary performing the backup of the Windows disk
- Write performances are not affected
- Read performances remain almost the same even on migrated files. |
